What types of animals do you train?
We work with many animals, domestic or exotic, including dogs, exotic birds, birds of prey, reptiles, invertebrates, and a big variety of exotic mammals like rabbits, guinea pigs, skunks, meerkats, coatis, hedgehogs and others. Whether your pet is a family companion, a show animal, or in need of vet-handling training, we adapt our approach for their species, temperament, and personality.
What training methods do you use?
We rely exclusively on positive reinforcement and reward-based training. Our focus is on creating trust and understanding so that your animal enjoys learning. These techniques are safe, effective, and suitable for all species and ages.
Can you come to my home for training?
Yes, all our in-person sessions take place at your home or on your property. This approach allows us to observe your animal's natural behaviour in its usual environment and provide realistic guidance that fits your daily routine.
Do you offer remote or phone consultations?
We do. For clients outside our travel range, or those who prefer initial advice before committing to in-person training, we offer structured phone consultations. These sessions are ideal for behavioural advice, follow-ups, or early guidance before hands-on work begins.
Which areas do you cover?
There are no restrictions for phone or video consultations. We're based in Wickford, Essex, and will generally travel no more than 45 minutes for in-person sessions, however this will depend on the service required. Contact us to check if we cover your area.
Can you help prepare animals for vet or grooming visits?
Yes. We specialise in handling training for veterinary procedures, grooming, and travelling. Our sessions help animals stay calm while giving owners confidence in managing them safely.
Do you provide training services for zoos, farms or wildlife centres?
Yes, we offer tailored training programs both for zoo animals and for staff who work with them. We can help with husbandry, vet care, enrichment activities and training. We provide staff with practical, evidence-based techniques so they can confidently manage and train their animals safely and effectively.
What is your payment system?
Payment to be made via bank transfer or cash only (for now!).
